Wiper Supply have installed a 49kWp Solar PV array on their roofs.
Wiper Supply Services Ltd was formed in 1993 and supplies the Trade with quality disposable non-woven wiping cloths and products. The Company manufactures many different wiping cloth products and now occupies a large commercial warehouse in North Luton.
Originally operating from a shared warehouse in Milton Keynes, within a year the Company soon outgrew its facilities, and relocated to the Luton area. In 2007, the Company relocated to its current premises and have been considering the installation of a Solar Power system for several years.
As the cost of such an installation has fallen in recent times, and Evogreen were in the right place at the right time to facilitate the installation and commissioning of a live system. They utilise a reasonable amount of electricity in running their business, so the idea of generating their own electricity has inspired them for some time. They are sufficiently eco-minded to reduce their use of bought-in energy as a business, and as a bonus, they hope to enjoy the benefit of the more-than-considerable financial savings they will make over the considerable 20-25 year life span of the equipment.
The Installation
Benefits
“From initial concept to final signing-off, Evogreen and their staff were no less than 100% excellent. Everything was considered, from the design and technical aspects to the more practical matters of the health & safety issues connected with the installation and the final commissioning of the equipment. Even before we started, EvoGreen assisted in our decision to work with Siemens Finance to secure a package that meant we had no capital outlay at all! At every stage, EvoGreen were in total control of the project, leaving us to get on with the important matter of running our business. Even during installation there was hardly any disruption to our work, and they even arranged to “switch on” the system at a time that suited us. The switch over took just a few minutes, and we have enjoyed an uninterrupted Solar Power service ever since.
Even after the system was completed, they ensured that all the paperwork was thoroughly processed, sending us operating manuals, schematics and other information, both in hard copy and additionally supplied loaded into a memory stick for easy distribution to our managers. EvoGreen assisted us in ensuring that our system was properly registered with our Electricity Generators (Scottish Power), and we are looking forward to the fruits of lower energy bills over the coming years.
In all, we would not hesitate to recommend EvoGreen to anyone seriously interested in a commercial Solar Power installation.” – Andrew Farleigh – Managing Director
