TR Lawman have installed a 50kWp Solar PV array on their roofs.

The Background

TR Lawman is a family run business that started life in 1973 manufacturing soles for sports shoes. Working out of 2500 sq ft for the 1st 12 years. Over the following decades the business has grown organically and by acquisition to the point where TRL now provides Products, Materials and Services to a wide variety of different industries although many of them are still principally Footwear related.

They now have a 13,000 sq ft manufacturing facility and a 10,000 sq ft office and warehouse to enable them to service all their customers with bespoke component solutions and the materials they require for some of the worlds most prestigious footwear brands. It was on the manufacturing facility that they decided to have the solar system fitted to.

Their decision to install was based around an ever increasing overhead cost for the manufacturing plant, meaning their profit margins were suffering in order to stay competitive. Their long term business strategy requires them to try to maintain or lower these overheads, with electricity being a major part of this cost.

The Evogreen system should give them a platform now to manage these costs moving forward and hopefully secure another 40 years of manufacturing.
