Thorpe Greenways School have installed a 47kWp Solar PV array on their roofs.
Thorpe Greenways Junior School is a thriving Community School based in Southend, Essex. Thorpe Greenways Junior School has 470 pupils between the ages of 7 and 11. The teachers and governors are all keen to embrace green thinking to educate the pupils and help safeguard their future. The installation of solar panels provides the ideal focus for putting sustainability at the forefront of their curriculum. The School Council had been tasked to help the school find ways of becoming more environmentally friendly. This has included projects such as recycling and saving energy. The school had been looking at options regarding solar power for a number of years, but Ashley Eastwood, the Headmaster believes the package offered by Evogreen proved to be “the only one that that provided us with exactly what we wanted.”
