Over Primary School have installed a 10kWp Solar PV array on their roofs.
Over Primary Schools main aim is for all their children to find enjoyment in developing the learning skills with which to reach their full potential both now and in the future. First and foremost, Over Primay School want to model to, not just teach, their pupils how to be eco-friendly. As a central part of the local community they feel it also makes a very positive statement in the wider setting. With energy prices rising, incentives reducing and potential green-taxes looming they also want to make sensible financial decisions for the future. They want children, and their families to feel a sense of pride in ‘doing our bit’ and encourage them not to waste electricity, as well as spurring people on to look for other ways to be eco-friendly.
“The process involved Evogreen giving comprehensive information regarding the panels, process and finances, then leaving us to discuss and research before reaching an informed decision in our own time. When we were ready to proceed Evogreen worked with us to put together a timetable for installation that suited us. The installation impacted very little on the running of the school. Engineers communicated with us well. They were professional, helpful and understanding throughout the process” – Mike Fish – Headteacher
