Marks Gate Junior School

Marks Gate Junior School have installed a 38kWp Solar PV array on their roofs.

The Background

Marks Gate Junior School is situated in the most northern part of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. They provide a caring ethos in which ‘every child matters’. Children will experience a sense of belonging to the Marks Gate family, where mutual respect for themselves, the community and environment is evident. Solar PV proved to be a fantastic option for the school, teaching the children how to preserve their environment and cut their carbon footprint. Using the Carbon Trust approved funding they have been able to do this at no additional cost to the school.
