Larchfield Primary and Nursery

Larchfield Primary and Nursery School have installed a 48kWp Solar PV array on their roofs.

The Background

Larchfield Primary and Nursery is a small school based in Maidenhead, Berkshire. At Larchfield they encourage independence  from the earliest stage of learning, they want to equip students with the best possible start in their education. As part of that learning process solar proved to be a great choice for the school as they are able to teach students early on about renewable energy and how to be different from everyone else. Using The Carbon Trust approved funding the school were able to undertake this project with no capital outlay involved.
