Henlow Church of England Academy

Henlow Church of England Academy have installed a total of 50kWp Solar PV array on their roofs.

The Background

Henlow Church of England Academy is a large primary situated in Henlow, Central Bedfordshire. At Henlow every pupil is provided with a range of experiences, and encouraged to develop interests and skills which will form the basis for future learning and social development. Being an Eco-School it is important to make sure the children fully understand the effects of climate change and how they are able to influence what is happening on a daily basis. Solar PV was a great option for the Academy as they are able to significantly reduce their carbon emissions and energy costs. Using the Carbon Trust approved funding they have been able to do this with no capital outlay.
