The Federation of Thorpe Greenways Schools have installed 2 x ETA PE-K 90 Biomass Boilers on site.
Thorpe Greenways Junior School is a thriving Community School based in Southend, Essex. Thorpe Greenways Junior School has 470 pupils between the ages of 7 and 11. The teachers and governors are all keen to embrace green thinking to educate the pupils and help safeguard their future. The School Council had been tasked to help the school find ways of becoming more environmentally friendly. This has included projects such as recycling and saving energy. The school had been looking at options regarding solar power for a number of years, after this project was completed they wanted to look at more ways to reduce CO2 emmissions and energy costs. After reviewing the option for Biomass it showed to be another great asset for the school and via the Government backed Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) will enable them to also make a substantial income.
